Part of the Club’s charter is to support the House with No Steps. Since the formation of the club, members have donated their time to undertake a range of projects, including the renovation of Watt Cottage; the construction of nine picnic tables; building the extension onto the Gift Shop and the upgrade of Watt Cottage to house the Museum.
Members have also assisted with other community projects such as renovating 6 park seats for local service clubs. These seats were originally constructed by students at Alstonville High School and have been returned for community use in a local park. Members have also constructed and donated toys for distribution to needy families at Christmas through local charities. Other projects have been undertaken to supply items to businesses to raise funds for the club.
The club is fortunate to receive donations of good quality logs which members assist a contractor with a mobile bandsaw mill, to slab and store the timber for future use.
